COVID-19 Update 4/7/2020
|
We wish you and your families all the best during the health crisis. The marina continues to operate as best we can given the current circumstances. If you have not read the information on our homepage, we urge you to review our operational adjustments to combat COVID-19. In addition to the aforementioned policy changes, the marina has decided to suspend our line assistance service until further notice. We understand this service is highly valued by our customers and we regret having to make this decision. As soon as we can, line assistance will be reintroduced, along with the rest of our usual amenities. With the reduction in staffing, we cannot meet the demand for line assistance calls. Also, as we work to protect our staff and boaters, this change further limits in-person interactions while we practice ‘social distancing’ measures. If you find yourself having trouble getting into your normal slip, please call our office and we will work to find a temporary solution. Before heading out, check the weather conditions and take extra caution knowing that dockside help is not available. Our team is working hard to navigate these unprecedented times; please know that we take these decisions very seriously. Customer service is the foundation of our business and is always at the forefront of our decision making process – but, there is no higher priority than the safety and health of our community. COVID-19 Update 3/25/2020It goes without saying that these are unprecedented times. As you all know, our state is operating under Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” Act; so what does that mean for Elliott Bay Marina? Per Washington State, Marina employees are included among the essential workforce, and therefore our facility will remain staffed. We are deemed essential and have the right to operate, but must abide by the other restrictions posted within the ordinance. We ask that you take these requests seriously and be patient with our staff as we work through this situation. With that said, we are making the following operational revisions.
Office Closure: Although the Marina will be staffed, our office will be closed for in-person visits. Our team will be closely monitoring email and accepting phone calls to assist our customers. Please contact us ahead of time with all requests that require in-person interaction, and we will do our best to find an accommodating solution. This decision is based on the Governor’s request to practice “social distancing” at all times, and we feel this effort creates the safest possible environment for our staff and boaters. Our overnight security team will be operating as usual from 11:30 pm until 7:30 am daily.
Moorage Payments: We are asking our tenants who pay by check to utilize the black drop box outside of our office to submit payments. Another option is to mail them to our Bank of America mailbox in Los Angeles, California.

Fuel Dock: The Fuel Dock will continue to be open with regular springtime hours: Monday-Thursday 8-4 pm and Friday-Sunday 8-6 pm. We are limiting the store and dock capacity to a maximum of 10 customers at a time while maintaining 6 feet of distance between individuals. If we exceed this number, you will be asked to wait. We appreciate your patience as we implement this safety measure.
Increased Cleaning and Disinfecting: Our team will continue with our increased cleaning regime. Additionally, we have placed disinfecting sprays in the restroom areas and ask that you spray surfaces when you are finished using them.
We appreciate you taking the time to read this message. Please know that we are making all efforts to remain open while protecting our valued community of staff and boaters. As this situation progresses, we will provide more updates. We wish everyone the best during these challenging times. Stay healthy.
